aṁbu n. [aṁb-śabde uṇ]

(1) Water; gāṁgamaṁbu sitamaṁbu yāmunaṁ K. P. 10.

(2) The watery element of the blood (cf. imber).

(3) N. of a metre.

(4) A term in astrology (lagnāvadhikaṁ caturthasthānaṁ).
